Job Description
The company is seeking a Corporate Controller who consistently exceeds expectations, thrives in a challenging workplace, and proactively seeks to further develop the business and their team. The Controller will drive effective and accurate financial processes for multi-locational organization while complying with corporate policies, procedures, and internal controls. The Corporate Controller will work closely with the leadership team, so excellent communication and organization skills are a must. The Corporate Controller needs the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Role Responsibilities
- Supervises the monthly closing process and is responsible for timely, accurate submission of financial information for all company locations.
- Manages all operations in the accounting department, including cash management, billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledgers, cost accounting, revenue recognition and inventory accounting.
- Supervises the accounting team including the assistant controller, accounts receivable analyst and accounts payable analyst.
- Completes corporate reporting requirements and supports financial, operational and tax audits.
- Champions financial and operational process improvements in all department processes and procedures.
- Prepares GL journal Entries and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
- Develops and provides management with accurate and comprehensive financial information to guide effective financial decision making and policy setting.
- Coordinates budget process and financial forecasts with organizational owners.
- Develops and documents accounting policies and business processes to strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinates and manages the annual financial review process with external auditors. Generates and provides documentation and support, as necessary.
- Prepares tax inputs and liaises with external tax accountants for tax preparation.
- Collaborates with department managers to support overall organizational goals and objectives. Compiles and analyzes data and reports to assist others.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field, CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant and progressive finance experience. Experience in a multi-locational manufacturing company preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work with organizational leaders to improve financial results; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board, or other outside partners.
