Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 per year
A bit about us:
This position is the key position in the accounting department that will oversee all accounting functions for our organization and its subsidiaries. The Corp. Controller has ownership of all sections within the accounting department including general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, timekeeping, and payroll. The Corp. Controller will be reporting directly to the CFO. This position also has responsibilities for process and procedures for the remote offices for the same sections.
This is an onsite position in Long Beach, CA and candidates must have experience working within the construction or industrial industry.

Job Details
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting.
- History of financial project management.
- Influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role.
- Analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, and strategic planning skills.
- Business acumen, including construction industry, POC, revenue recognition, understanding of Union labor and Work force management, domain-specific knowledge of the enterprise and its business units.
- In budget planning and financial management.
- To drive organizational change and build capabilities that effectively balance the needs between continuously exploiting capabilities to optimize operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and have excellent organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
- Seven years of leadership responsibilities.
- Modern accounting software required.
- MSD365 working experience preferred.
- Excel and modeling skills with Power BI preferred.
- Degree in Accounting required. (Master’s degree preferred)
- LEAN methodologies including continuous improvement initiatives a plus.
- Working with large family privately owned corporations a plus.
- Company experience working with Big4 accounting firms a plus.
- CPA status.
