We are currently seeking a Corporate Controller for our Houston headquarters. Responsible for supporting the CFO and Vice President of Finance in directing the activities of the Accounting Department, including direct responsibility for the financial and accounting functions. The salary range for this position will be $120-$150K/year depending on education, experience and certifications/licensure. This position will be based in our Houston energy corridor area office especially at the start. It may move into a hybrid schedule moving forward, part in office, part work from home.

Responsibilities:- Direct and supervise the month-end close process to ensure adherence with generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls and company policies and procedures
- Maintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Provide technical accounting guidance
- Improve processes and minimize inefficiencies
- Manage acquisition integration for the accounting function, including purchase accounting, merging of systems, processes and teams
- Assist in meeting all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements of internal and external users
- Direct and oversee the preparation of Personal Property, Sales and Use, and Real Estate Tax returns
- Designing, implement and support procedures that will assure compliance with corporate policies
- Work with and provide financial information to external auditors and responds to the audit reports, as required
- Review and approve expenditures and invoices within established company guidelines
- Works with division managers to ensure consistent application of general ledger accounting and cost coding

- Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors)
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA or CPA candidate
Experience (work related, tools/equipment, software, etc.):
- Related Functional Experience: Minimum of 5+ years Strong knowledge of GAAP, strong knowledge of cash flows, and financial reporting
- Experience with acquisition accounting
- Strong analytical skills using Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage long-term projects
- Knowledge of Elite 3E a plus
