Founded in 1948 by John Pridgeon and Donald Clay, we are one of the largest independent, value-added manufacturers and suppliers of automotive stamped and fine-blanked components in the United States.
Objective: The Corporate Controller is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of globally consolidated financials of Pridgeon & Clay. The corporate controller has direct supervision of the U.S. general accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Primary responsibilities include supervision of the monthly U.S. close process, monthly and annual consolidations ('financial model'), supervising general accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Responsibilities also include financial consolidations of foreign subsidiaries, assisting in the annual budget preparation, various annual audit and tax reporting requirements, periodic governmental census reporting, and periodic treasury administration. The Corporate Controller will also be part of the team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.
Qualified candidates will possess the following Minimum Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA preferred)
- 7-10 yrs. previous experience in managing financial statement preparation within a manufacturing environment, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or the equivalent

Essential Functions
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparation of the annual budget, and communicate periodic budget performance to the respective department managers.
- Preparation of work papers supporting annual tax returns; both income and property taxes.
- Review and approval of journal entries accurately reflecting monthly financial activity.
- Review monthly accounting close process, including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
- Periodic distribution of departmental financial performance reporting.
- Preparation of periodic consolidated financials, including annual adjusting and eliminating journal entries.
- Implement, document and maintain adequate and effective internal controls.
- Implement, document, and maintain adequate and effective processes to continuously improve the close and reporting cycles.
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting staff.

- Write and present effective communication including memos, letters, electronic correspondence, reports and presentations.
