This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day Compliance and Reporting of all financial matters of the company.
This role will collaborate closely with Senior Leadership in overseeing the financial needs of the firm.
This role works with a variety of Company Leadership by informing and assisting that Leadership in making well-informed decisions about the operations and administration of the Company in many functional areas of the firm.
This role provides leadership by example both to internal staff and external business partners and is expected to demonstrate a 'Company First' focus to anyone they interact with.
This role directly reports up to, and is supported by, the VP of Finance.
Duties
- Oversee all Accounting/Finance needs of the firm
- Ensure consistent direction and guidance in Accounting, Finance, and Treasury
- Provides detailed Financial Analysis and makes informed recommendations
- Collaborates with Leadership to develop and maintain the morale, team spirit, and confidence of those reporting up to this role
- Provides Executive Team with advice and guidance where requested
- Mentors, coaches, and trains the Accounting team with a goal of true staff development
- Manage and monitor all Accounts, Ledgers, and Financial Reporting systems
- Planning, Directing, and Coordinating all Accounting operational functions
- Oversee and manage the external Audits of the Company
- Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures for Tax Compliance
- Collaborate with HR to establish, monitor, and report specific Financial Metrics related to the Company's Safety Program
Background -
- 15+ years' experience in Accounting/Finance Leadership/Management
- Leadership by example of medium-to-large sized Accounting Teams
- Bachelor's Degree with a major in Accounting required, Master's degree in Accounting preferred
- CPA certification preferred
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Building Products industry experience preferred
