Key Responsibilities
9 direct reports/18 total EE's reporting- includes 3 plant controllers
Manage all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, G/L, Payroll, Cash management, standard costing system and inventory control for multiple operating entities.
Manage accounting staff directly in the Corona, CA location.
Manage financial accounting staff indirectly in multiple other locations in several states and countries. Travel as needed to remote locations in this supervisory capacity.
Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations.
Assist with corporate financial decisions. Financial analyses as appropriate and upon request.
Support month-end and year-end process.
Interact directly with the independent auditor's year end audit and tax compliance preparation.
Manage outside auditors including but not limited to: sales tax, 401(k), property tax, and workers compensation.
Consolidate quarterly financial reporting for bank compliance.
Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Responsible for supplying to executives any and all financial information necessary for making policy decisions.
Experience with ERP systems and related tools for staging and deploying information.
Additional duties and responsibilities as necessary.
We Need Your Experience to Include:
Proven working experience as a Corporate Controller.
5+ years of overall combined financial and cost accounting experience.
Bachelor's Degree required. Accounting Degree required. Post graduate degree or certificate required (MBA, CPA, CMA, etc.).
True management experience and relationship/team building required.
International accounting experience preferred.
Cost accounting experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience preferred.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
