The Corporate Buyer is responsible for acquiring goods and services for our organization at the best possible price and quality as well as playing a key role in the logistics function. This role involves negotiating costs, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with corporate purchasing policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a background in procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure continuity of supply and assist in mitigating component shortages.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Monitor inventory levels of consigned and EOL parts and ensure timely replenishment of components to meet production needs.
- Review purchase order requisitions for accuracy and compliance with company regulations and correct as needed.
- Prepare and distribute purchase orders per company policy.
- Work with accounting to reconcile any discrepancies on POs and invoices.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance metrics.
- Resolve any issues related to procurement processes and supplier performance.
- Import/Export shipping assistance/resolution.
- Tariff research and reporting.
Other Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate price and contract terms, and manage supplier relationships.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions and vendor selection.
- Develop and maintain an annual purchasing plan to meet organizational needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and procurement best practices.
- NPI engineering support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred).
- Five years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with a results-driven approach.
- Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
