Leading collaborative law firm is seeking a Corporate Attorney with 3 to 7 years of significant transactional experience. This role will be based in Western New York, offering an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values professional growth, innovation, and commitment to client success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transactional Work: Lead and support complex corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructurings.
- General Corporate Matters: Advise clients on a variety of corporate governance issues, regulatory compliance, contract drafting, and other business-related legal needs.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and provide strategic, business-oriented legal advice that aligns with their objectives.
- Drafting & Negotiation: Prepare, review, and negotiate agreements and other legal documents with precision and a focus on mitigating risk and maximizing outcomes for clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys in the firm, mentoring junior associates and contributing to the development of the corporate practice group.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years (and up to 7 years) of meaningful experience in mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.
- Skills: Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Academic Background: A strong academic record from a respected law school.
- Licensure: Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
