We are a leading company in our industry, seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our corporate accounting department, contributing to the overall success of our business. The successful candidate will manage our accounting team and oversee all aspects of our financial operations, including financial planning, budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting needs, securing of new funding, and auditing functions.
Responsibilities
As a Corporate Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.
2. Directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions.
3. Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business results.
4. Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements.
5. Coordinating activities of external auditors.
6. Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process.
7. Evaluating accounting and internal control systems.
8. Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance.
9. Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 10 years accounting experience and at least give years in leadership.
3. Experience with one or more of the following firms or equivalent: PWC, Deloitte, KPMG, Ernst & Young.
4. Proven experience as a financial leader with the ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
5. A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
6. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
7. Proficient user of finance software.
8. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
9. A solid understanding of financial software and MS Office.
10. High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality.
11. Ability to strategize and solve problems.
12. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
