The Corporate Accounting Manager will report to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for the corporate office accounting function. This position provides exposure to key accounting and reporting areas and offers development opportunities within the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for Corporate Office general ledger accounting and reporting, which includes approval of all monthly journal entries and intercompany transactions and the preparation of the Corporate Office results for internal reporting
- Monthly journal entries include debt, stock-based compensation, insurance, payroll, pensions, leases, accruals, taxes and intercompany billings
- Approval of balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for the monthly analysis, including balance sheet and expense fluctuations
- Responsible for the compilation of other quarterly reporting deliverables utilized by the corporate external reporting team
- Oversees the Corporate Office accounts payable team and process
- Assist with special projects (acquisitions, divestitures, system implementations) as they arise
- Ad-hoc reporting for the Controller’s team
Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has two direct reports and two indirect reports
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including some experience with a multi-national company
Knowledge and Skills:
- Solid understanding of US GAAP
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, strong MS Excel skills
- Experience with financial systems; Oracle, Hyperion and Blackline preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
