Job Details
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Analyze financial information to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable not only understanding the processes but also hands on processing and completion.
- Manage general ledger accounts, prepare and oversee journal entries and adjustments.
- Assist in accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to management as needed.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure proper accounting for transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and investment decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Yardi, NetSuite, QuickBooks preferred)
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Experience with financial reporting requirements and preparing financial statements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
