Corporate Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

About the Job
Essential Duties and Functions Include the Following:
- Prepare accurate and timely management financial reports and financial statements
- Streamline and automate accounting workflows and procedures
- Prepare bank and Board reporting packages
- Prepare complex account reconciliations
- Construct large data analysis using Excel
- Assist with annual external audits including footnote preparation
- Review existing accounting policies and procedures and propose ideas to strengthen controls and to streamline and automate procedures.
- Perform high level accounting and financial reporting across NSD's various legal entities.
- Interacts closely with the Accounting Department and various functional leaders of the company.
- Work with the CFO and VP of Finance to review and assess various applications and systems in the organization. Conduct the vendor review process to shop and vet out vendor capabilities to meet the organization's needs.
- Coordinate with vendors and teammates to assess progress versus goals and take corrective actions to keep projects on track.
Competencies:
- The ability to plan, organize, and lead a team.
- Technical knowledge of financial transactions, financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting functions
- Understanding and application of Accounting Principles (GAAP Accounting, Revenue Recognition, Tax)
- Multi-company consolidations and consolidating financial reporting
- Develop and manage financial controls
- Easily adaptable to design and implement various software applications
- Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)
DOE Pay 95K to 100K
