You have completed aBS in Nuclear Engineering or related degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in anengineeringrole for at least3 yearsand are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

You have a demonstrated PWR or BWR core design and/or analysis experience. You have experience in computer model development and application (e.g., MCNP, SCALE, CASMO, SIMULATE, or other nuclear industry analysis code). You display positive and effective team interaction skills and value positive peer relationships. You place a priority on leadership and initiative and can be counted on to maintain focus on customer requirements. You have the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple assignments and execute them on-time with quality. You have developed effective written and oral communication skills.

As aCore Design Engineerin Lynchburg, VA, or Richland, WA (remote work options may be considered), you will be part of the proven team in theCore Design and Safety AnalysisBusiness Line in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will includeneutronic design and analyses of nuclear fuel for commercial power plants and R&D, using the latest codes and methods for nuclear applications, developing economic core designs to optimize fuel usage and within defined safety parameters. These analyses involve the use of engineering computer codes and employ both empirical and first principal methods, lead reload licensing activities and possibly first-of-a-kind licensing activities to advance fuel management techniques, use optimization tools and automation to streamline the analyses, participation in and support interfaces with customer and regulatory authorities to obtain regulatory approval of the Framatome reactor core design, codes, and methods, and preparing and review design reports, safety analyses, calculation files, and associated records.This position requires occasional travel.Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $82,000 - $111,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
