THE POSITION

The Copywriting Intern supports the marketing team by writing and editing content for websites, blog posts, social media, marketing materials and more. Interns will develop a substantial portfolio of published writing samples, refine their writing skills for various audiences, and gain valuable agency experience.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Draft and edit blog posts, news articles, and website copy.
• Write copy for organic social media posts and paid ads.
• Assist with copywriting for brochures, award submissions, reports, and other marketing material.
• Research subject matter, competitors, industry, and target audience.
• Perform research related to targeted subject matters to include in web articles.
• Work with the account team to identify and understand high-level messaging and strategy.
• Monitor trends in the show industries.
• Actively participate in concept development and brainstorm sessions.

• Current student enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree program majoring in Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or related field are preferred.
• Possess a passion for writing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including knowledge of proper grammar and spelling.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Work and Outlook).
• Fluent in current technologies and media with respect to design, marketing, and digital marketing.
• Willingness to learn, have fun, be proactive, be energetic, work with enthusiasm, and be a good team player.
