Description
The Copywriter will be responsible for crafting compelling and engaging content that captures the essence of Turion Space Company's mission and values. This role involves creating a wide range of content, from marketing materials and website copy to press releases and technical documents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop high-quality, engaging content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, press releases, marketing materials, and internal communications.
- Brand Voice: Maintain and enhance the company’s brand voice and messaging across all content. Ensure consistency and alignment with Turion Space Company's brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
- Technical Writing: Translate complex aerospace and space technology concepts into clear, concise, and accessible language for diverse audiences, including customers, partners, and the general public.
- Research: Conduct thorough research to understand the company's products, services, and industry trends. Stay up-to-date with advancements in space technology and aerospace to create accurate and relevant content.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, communications, and technical teams to gather information, understand project requirements, and ensure content meets strategic goals.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Ensure all written materials are free of errors and adhere to company standards and style guides.
- Campaign Support: Support marketing campaigns by creating compelling copy for advertisements, email campaigns, social media posts, and other promotional materials.
- Feedback and Improvement: Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and make revisions as needed. Continuously seek opportunities to improve content quality and effectiveness.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 2-3 years of professional copywriting experience, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of writing styles and formats.
- Writing Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to simplify and convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Research Skills: Strong ability to conduct research and quickly understand new topics and technologies.
- Content Management: Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in the aerospace, technology, or similar industries.
- Portfolio: A robust portfolio showcasing a diverse range of writing samples, including technical content, marketing materials, and creative pieces.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with aerospace and space technology concepts, with the ability to understand and convey complex technical information.
- Advanced Skills: Advanced skills in SEO, including keyword research and content optimization techniques.
- Design Tools: Proficiency in using basic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar software.
- CMS Experience: Experience with various content management systems and understanding of web analytics tools.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in technical writing or digital marketing (e.g., HubSpot Content Marketing Certification) are a plus.
- Creative Abilities: Demonstrated creativity and originality in writing, with a strong ability to engage and captivate different audiences.
