About the Job
The Senior Copywriter reports to the Director of Brand Marketing while working across multiple verticals within the marketing team. This position is critical to Saf-Gard/SR Max's ability to distinguish itself through our brand and creative product.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline; 5+ years' experience of copywriting or related communications experience.
At Saf-Gard/SR Max, an effective Senior Copywriter is expected to:

- become knowledgeable about our industry, products/services, branding, and marketing goals
- have experience developing a brand voice and consistently carrying that voice through a variety of mediums
- be an articulate, compelling and persuasive writer with the ability to concept and write for large-scale branding projects to detailed product copy and everything in between
- partner and effectively communicate with a range of personalities and work styles, within our department and throughout the company
- play an active role in mentoring junior copywriters and graphic designers
- have a point of view, challenge yourself and respectfully challenge status quo
- manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently and responsibly, while maintaining a level of flexibility to quickly respond to changing priorities
- maintain effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- work with the marketing team to ensure ideas are executed to our highest standards and are on strategy
- possess good leadership, people and project management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactive development of creative concepts to ensure delivery of results-oriented work across multiple mediums
- Interpreting creative/project briefs to develop on-brand, on-strategy creative solutions to business problems
- Developing consistent messaging across all platforms including traditional advertising, digital advertising, social media, e-commerce and public relations, resulting in integrated creative campaigns
- Mentorship of the creative team, leveraging your copy, content and strategic skills to drive creative solutions and overall growth
- Researching and understanding our competitors, our brands, brand goals, products and customers
- Proficiency in directing the vision for creative production, including video content
- Presenting copy concepts and final deliverables to internal stakeholders
- Meeting assigned deadlines and, if necessary, communicating with team members to shift timelines
- Continually developing and refining your knowledge and abilities to perform at the highest level
- Seeking and sharing examples of creative excellence with the team
