Copywriter and Digital Marketing Associate

Full-time HYBRID (Mon & Thurs in office, adding Tuesday in October) 

Location: Whippany, NJ

Summary:
Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is seeking a versatile Copywriter to assist the marketing team in managing initiatives. This role will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment, partnering with key stakeholders across programs and functions. The Copywriter and Digital Marketing Associate will be responsible for creating compelling and informative content for the Weekly Roundup, program newsletters, action alerts, security alerts, and press releases. Additionally, this role involves drafting and sending eblasts for regular and recurring digital communications through MailChimp and updating website content using WordPress.

Responsibilities: 

           Content Creation: 

• Write, edit, and proofread content for the Weekly Roundup, program newsletters, action alerts, security alerts, and press releases. 

• Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and brand compliant. 
  
  Eblast Management: 

• Draft, format, and send eblasts for regular and recurring digital communications using MailChimp. 

• Manage email lists and segmentation to ensure targeted and effective communication. 
  
  Website Content Management: 

• Update and maintain website content using WordPress. 

• Ensure website content is current, accurate, and optimized for search engines. 
  
  Content Strategy and Optimization: 

• Execute the proactive marketing and content strategy. 

• Research and analyze top SEO content topics. 

• Edit long-form or offline content for digital channels ensuring content is digitally optimized, high-quality, brand-compliant, and topical. 

• Review content and suggest optimization strategies for SEO performance, including conducting keyword research and editing/writing page titles, meta descriptions, and body content. 
  
  Project Management: 

• Plan and create project timelines for new initiatives and adapt timelines as needed. 

• Manage copy asset creation, reviews and revisions, timeline management, and final deliverables. 

• Help manage content calendar and ensure deadlines are met. 

• Collaborate with the marketing team and program leads to ensure effective, branded marketing communications across all platforms. 
  
  Collaboration: 

• Work closely with graphic designers to create print and digital materials, ensuring they are on-brand. 

• Liaise with various departments to ensure content reflects the latest updates, events, and initiatives. 
  
  Event Participation: 

• Attend various events and activities to capture content for promotion in external communications. 
  
  Industry Awareness: 

• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and new technologies impacting digital marketing. 

• Identify trends and opportunities and translate analysis into actionable plans.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• 4 years of working experience in content marketing, project management, and/or production. 

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of carrying out complex tasks flawlessly and with minimal oversight. 

• Excellent time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 

• Strong foundation in content production and digital marketing. 

• Excellent grammar and attention to detail. 

• Proficiency in WordPress for website content management. 

• Experience with email marketing platforms, particularly MailChimp. 

• Basic knowledge of HTML code is a plus. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

• Ability to stay current with digital marketing trends and tools.
