As a Controls/Automation Engineer, you will be the linchpin of our manufacturing process, ensuring the seamless integration of our automated systems. Your role will be pivotal in designing, programming, simulating, and testing automated machinery and processes to complete precise tasks. You will be working closely with our manufacturing team to improve the efficiency, safety, and productivity of our operations. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement automated systems to increase manufacturing efficiency and quality.
2. Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), primarily using Allen Bradley and FANUC systems.
3. Design and develop SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems for process control and monitoring.
4. Utilize AutoCAD for the design and modification of electrical schematics, panel layouts, and other related documentation.
5. Implement and maintain HMI (Human Machine Interface) systems for improved operator interaction with automation equipment.
6. Design and implement control systems, utilizing knowledge of VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) and Servo drives.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate robotics into the manufacturing process.
8. Perform regular system audits to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
9. Provide technical support and training to the manufacturing team on automated systems and equipment.
10. Stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and propose implementation strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in control systems design, PLC programming, and automation in a manufacturing environment.
3. Proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA, AutoCAD, Robotics, Control Systems Design, Electrical Engineering, Automation, PLC, HMI, FANUC, Allen Bradley, VFD, and Servo.
4. Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex automation systems.
6. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain complex technical concepts in understandable terms.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in automation technology and continuous learning.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing environment.
10. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
