Our Operations team is seeking to hire a Retirement Services Coordinator. This position will provide front-line and operational process support to Financial Advisors, Employers, and IRA/QRP owners. This is an in-person role that requires reporting into the Los Angeles office daily.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver excellent customer service that exceeds customer expectations in all contact interactions
- Provide technical and operational assistance to the branch offices
- Resolve issues/concerns and answering incoming calls from clients and brokers regarding the organization’s products and services
- Receive and process incoming IRA/QRP distribution and contribution requests
- Process IRA/QRP transactions such as excess contribution withdrawals and conversions
- Review daily IRA transactions reports to ensure proper coding, and compliance with IRS regulations
- Work with Financial Advisors to set up new SEP or SIMPLE IRA plans
- Perform other duties and work on special projects as required

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
- Minimum of 2 years retirement services industry experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Traditional, Roth, SEP and SIMPLE IRAs and QRP plans and the willingness to learn IRS rules and regulations regarding these retirement products
- Knowledge of IRA transaction codes as they relate to IRS tax forms, and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, BETA, Phase3, Broker Insight is a plus
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Highly organized, solution-oriented and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
- Works well independently on specific tasks and gets direction in more complicated or out of the box tasks
- Demonstrates sensitivity and respect for others and participates in organizational or departmental projects
- Strong attention to detail

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. Decisions regarding compensation are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on a variety of factors including but not limited to location; skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current hiring range is $44,000-$60,000.
