The Coordinator of Provider Relations plays a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships between our organization and healthcare providers. They are responsible for facilitating effective communication, providing training and education to providers, monitoring the quality of services rendered, and gathering requirements for OHA (Oregon Health Authority) and EQRO (External Quality Review Organization) deliverables. This role requires a blend of interpersonal skills, organizational proficiency, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations. The Coordinator of Provider Relations plays a critical role in supporting the manager and department ensuring the success of our organization by fostering strong relationships with healthcare providers, facilitating communication, monitoring service quality, and fulfilling OHA and EQRO deliverable requirements. This position requires a proactive and collaborative individual with a passion for improving healthcare delivery and outcomes.
Your Impact:
- Develop and implement training programs to educate providers on our organization's services, protocols, and standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure training materials are accurate, up-to-date, and align with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular training sessions, webinars, and workshops to disseminate information and address provider inquiries.
- Establish metrics and performance indicators to assess the quality of services provided by healthcare providers.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory standards.
- Work closely with providers to address any issues or concerns related to service quality and adherence to guidelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare providers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering positive relationships.
- Facilitate regular communication channels between our organization and providers to exchange information, share best practices, and address mutual concerns.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate updates, policy changes, and relevant information to providers in a timely manner.
- Liaise with representatives from OHA and EQRO to understand deliverable requirements and timelines.
- Gather necessary data and information from internal departments and healthcare providers to fulfill OHA and EQRO deliverable requirements.
- Prepare and organize documentation, reports, and presentations according to OHA and EQRO guidelines and standards.
- Demonstrate the work done in gathering information, ensuring compliance, and meeting the criteria set forth by OHA and EQRO during audits or reviews.
Your Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in provider relations, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, regulations, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare management software.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs preferred.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and practices is a plus.
