Job Description :
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Coordinates all aspects of food production and food presentation for all catering events and in Food and Nutrition areas.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Coordinates and assists in the preparation all food items for special events in catering and main kitchen. (60%)
+ Reviews upcoming events, completes inventory, orders food items, and updates event orders to insure accuracy of items served. (15%)
+ Acts as a liaison between food & nutrition services department, conference center staff and event planning assistants. (15%)
+ Maintains food safety and sanitation standards according to departmental policies and procedures and regulatory agency requirements. (10%)
+ Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
+ Allegheny County Food Safety/Sanitation.
+ 5 years of high volume food production experience required.
Preferred
+ Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts preferred.
