Role Summary:
The role of a Coordinator, Category Management – Hot Foods:
This Food and Beverage Coordinator will assist in the coordination of all expanded food concepts outside of traditional concession offerings. This includes all programs relating to hot foods, with the potential to collaborate with other categories and other business critical duties as needed. This individual will be well-versed in trend analysis and recipe development with a strong culinary background. This role reports directly to the Category Manager of Culinary within the Food and Beverage department.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of on and off-site kitchen testing and recipe development, including formal and informal tastings for both culinary team as well as leadership
- Meticulous culinary and operational execution development, including new products, recipes and packaging updates
- Help coordinate hot foods rollouts, projects and programs, include all Pizza programs, concessions hot foods programs, and multiple restaurant concepts
- Manage and grow broker and direct vendor relationships for insights into new products
- Reporting and analyzing normal business data to make business critical decisions
- Continue the evolution of enhanced food and beverage offerings as well as provide support to help these product categories drive incremental revenue for the company while also enhancing the movie-going experience
- Quickly troubleshoot issues as they arise and contribute to new process improvements
- Work through new item logistics and training content
Requirements:
- Familiarity with standard food and beverage equipment, food trends, theoretical costing, inventory, cost control, and purchasing
- Must have a sense of urgency and strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multitask multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interdepartmental collaboration and relationship building
- Prior experience with Sysco a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word PowerPoint and Excel)
- Positive and open to new ideas
- Willingness to take on additional tasks
- Attention to detail
