Shift: 7:00am -3:30pm

Summary:
Assists in the efficient and effective operations of the Cashier Office, including the timely/accurate processing/recording of deposits, and the financial resolution of all self-pay account balances from technical/professional billing systems. Assists processes between the Cashier Office staff and the Supervisor of Patient Financial Services/Cashier Office. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required: HS Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. 2 years of experience in banking or cashiering. Basic computer literacy, with proficiency in working with spreadsheets and word processing applications. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Adept problem solving skills. Preferred: Able to type 25 WPM. Experience using a 10-key calculator. 2 years of experience in healthcare billing. Experience using a computerized billing system. Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting.Physical Requirements: May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.
