The Coordinator, A/V Production & Engineering will be part of a world class team located at the Prudential Center in Newark. This position will work closely with the Live Experience team, Operations Team, as well as with other Departments (Events, Content, IT, etc.), within the Organization. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with projects associated with the operation, maintenance, reliability, and efficiency of all Arena Audio Visual, including Digital Signage, TV’s, Sound Systems, Lighting, and the coordination of all radio and TV Broadcast Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:
- Primary on-site AV point of contact for all Prudential Center sports properties and special events and bookings, including the PWHL’s New York Sirens, Seton Hall University basketball, NCAA neutral site events, commercial shoots, and more.
- Serve as the AV lead for select concerts and Prudential Center events as assigned.
- Work with the event operations department to ensure all AV setups are accounted for and executed to a high level, including on both event days and non-event days.
- Assist the Director, AV Systems & Production with the operation, maintenance and repairs of all AV Systems including but not limited to scoreboard, lighting, goal lighting, lighting controls, sound systems, clocks, interior/exterior digital displays, etc.
- Coordinate integration, connectivity, and execution of scoreboard/live production technology.
- Attend weekly production meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all AV needs are fulfilled.
- Assist with the scheduling and payroll of Local 1212 union employees
- Work across multiple departments to ensure coordination of repairs/maintenance in conjunction with the Events Schedule
- Train and mentor the Local 1212 staff to continuously improve the quality of the AV systems
- Prepare and upkeep of all Operational Policies and Procedures
- All other Operational duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Extensive working knowledge (minimum of 3 years) of Stadium/Arena Operations, specifically Entertainment AV systems
- Experience with Evertz & Ross equipment (Tessera, Xpression, Acuity) required.
- Knowledge of Yamaha audio consoles and GrandMA Lighting consoles preferred.
- Operational knowledge of broadcast technology and cabling
- Technical expertise in areas of Entertainment sound and lighting
- Familiarity with control room/live production workflows
- Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, construction schedules, etc.
- Knowledge of State and Federal codes and guidelines
- Knowledge of safety requirements and standards for public facilities
- Familiarity with MS Office (specifically Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe, AutoCAD a plus)
- Strong oral and written communication and project management skills
WORKING CONDITIONS
Travel Requirements: May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
Physical Demands: This position requires the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
Work Environment: The incumbent primarily works in an office environment, however, is expected to attend events that may take place on weekends and holidays.
