The pay rate for this position is $16 - $18 / hour. We have the following shifts available: 430pm-1230am & 1130am-730pm.
This position is a BCTGM Local 19 union position.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the quality, quantity, and timeliness of that day's meal production. He or she prepares the food in accordance with Parkhurst recipes, standards, and procedures under strict sanitary conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare service line for operation including properly preparing and portioning, quality food items following company approved recipes, specifications, and timing standards.
- Prepare and package food throughout the day as needed, anticipating, and reacting to guest volume for the On-the-Go station.
- Maintain appropriate portion control and consistently monitoring food levels on the line. Practice portion control guidelines continually.
- Acknowledge the presence of our guests IMMEDIATELY, with a friendly greeting. Serve and interact with our guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Check quality of food items, making sure they meet standards of taste, appearance, and correct temperatures. Report any substandard quality to the Executive Chef and/or Management.
- Post all necessary signage and merchandise service areas.
- Ensure proper line presentation: proper pans are used, pans are garnished, proper utensils are used according to recipe specifications, and food products are maintained at the proper serving temperatures as specified by recipes or management

- Maintain complete knowledge of all food and beverage items, their prices and availability to ensure excellent guest service.
- Assemble and check every plate for quality and presentation
- Notify the manager on duty of any guest dissatisfaction before the guest leaves.
- Maintain open lines of communication with other associates, e.g., line servers, concerning specific information about food items on a daily basis.
- Complete daily production sheets. Make sure all food items are properly stored and dated and rotate according to “first in, first out” standards.
- Follow all HACCP guidelines in utilizing leftovers.
- Follow cleaning schedule as provided by management, using “clean as you go” techniques.
- Maintain an open line of communication with management, informing them of products and supplies needed.
- Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
- Follow all Parkhurst Gold Standards. Uses Smile Plus hospitality imperatives.
- Assist fellow team members at every opportunity.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
