About the Job
St. Andrews Retirement Community -
Under the direct supervision of the Dietary Manager, the Cook will complete/assist with the following:
- Planning, preparing, and cooking meals to meet customer expectations.
- Maintaining a high quality of service while often preparing numerous meals in short periods.
- Ensuring sanitary food handling and storage.
- Collaborating with the kitchen team for efficient operation.
- Following food safety regulations and practices.
- Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
- Cooking menu items using various kitchen gadgets and cooking methods.
- Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standard.
This is a Full time position that normally works 3 days (5:30am-2pm) and 2 evening shifts (10:30am-7pm).
