Responsibilities

• Performs food preparation and cooking while maintaining all quality standards
• Operates cooking equipment, following established procedures and safety precautions
• Assist with menu planning, as well as review and adjust menus with supervisor to accommodate dietary changes
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment
• Issue proper handling, labeling, and storage of food on the plate before serving

Qualifications

• ServSafe Food Handler Certification required
• Prior work experience with food preparation required
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine required
