Cook - Skilled Nursing of East Brunswick

We are currently seeking a Cook for our nursing home - AM/ Morning position.The ideal candidate will meal prep, assist in serving, and clean-up. This includes but is not limited to setting tables, taking orders from residents, and ensuring that the dining area remains clean and organized.

All candidates must possess a Serve Safe certification and be willing to follow all guidelines from the Department of Health.

Responsibilities include:

•                 Preparing and serving meals according to the dietary needs of our residents

•                 Ensuring that all food is served at the appropriate temperature

•                 Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area

•                 Assisting with inventory and ordering of food and supplies

•                 Providing excellent customer service to our residents

•                 Monitors expenses and revenues of the Food Service Department to achieve the financial goals of the facility.

•                 Demonstrates practical management/leadership skills in the area of primary responsibility and in all facility activities.

•                 Supervises department manager and support staff to provide quality food services by a satisfied staff in a cost-effective manner.

•                 Provides a quality Food Service Program assuring that residents are satisfied, their nutritional needs are met, and an efficient operation is maintained.
