COOK LEVEL #2 - LINE COOK starting at $21/hr
Level 2 Cooks = End-of-Season Bonus Pay of $1.50 per hour for all hours worked
between May 27-September 21, payable at the end of the season.
Full-time year-round and full-time extended seasonal positions are also available. Overtime available in season per performance.
Employees' shared housing available at low cost.
Level 2 Cook / Line Cook executes most kitchen duties at restaurant for any meal period, with efficiency and accuracy, with limited supervision from the kitchen supervisor and/or Chef.
Line cooks work in the following stations: Fry, broil, raw bar, steam pots, flat top, grill, sauté and pantry.
Line cooks work the hot line.

Responsibilities
Job duties for a Level 2 Cook include both Level 1 and Level 2, but are not limited to:
(Level 1)
Preparing menu items in a timely manner.
Maintaining health and safety standards after each task, keeping their station clean and orderly (responsible for taking their trash cans and kitchen mats out at the end of the shift and cleaning them. Periodic deep cleaning of kitchen equipment is required)
The ability to identify various fruits, vegetables, herbs, kitchen equipment and utensils.
Working well with others, as a team, under pressure, and without distraction.
The ability to prep foods according to the recipe and kitchen standards.
Handling kitchen cutlery efficiently and safely.
Covering, labeling, and dating food items, then storing them properly.
(Level 2)
Using sound culinary principles routinely.
Being able to identify meats and fish and the proper prep for either.
Preparing menu items with consistent results with ease and efficiency.
Determining ways to eliminate waste in food prep.
Understanding proper food storage principles.
Understanding nutrition, portion control, and food costs.
The ability to supervise others
Line cook must be able to read orders on the computer screen.
Employees must be on time to work and in a clean uniform.
On-the-job training and career development is available for those Level 2 Cooks looking to become Level 3 Cooks. Level 2 cooks will be trained by the Company and expected to follow all training guidelines.
Qualifications
A culinary or hospitality degree with 1 years’ experience, or a combination, preferred but not required.

Wages starting at $21 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for a professional growth and advancement
