Position Overview: As a Cook, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for our residents. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure that each dish meets the dietary needs and preferences of our residents while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in cooking, a passion for preparing delicious meals, and a commitment to excellent food service.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook nutritious meals according to planned menus, accommodating residents' dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring dishes are served at the correct temperature.
Menu Adherence: Follow daily menus and standardized recipes while ensuring therapeutic diets are prepared accurately.
Sanitation and Food Safety: Follow strict sanitation practices in food preparation areas and ensure that all food handling and storage complies with health and safety regulations.
Quality Control: Maintain consistent food quality and presentation, adhering to high culinary standards.
Collaboration: Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and efficient meal service.
Inventory and Supply Management: Assist in managing kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients to minimize waste.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Knowledge of Food Safety: Familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and health regulations. Food handling certification may be required.
