Title: Cook
Location: Rogers Park
Shift: 1 spot Sunday to Thursday(6:30am - 3:00pm) & 1 Spot Tuesday to Saturday (11:00am - 7:30pm)
Summary:
Join our dynamic culinary team and play a crucial role in preparing and presenting delicious meals! As a Cook, you'll work closely with our culinary management to ensure accurate and efficient food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Your responsibilities will also include catering and food planning, all while adhering to sanitation standards and contractual obligations. Your impact will be measured through annual Success Objectives, allowing you to contribute to our mission and vision. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepares, cooks, and presents hot and cold food items.
- Follows recipes, operates kitchen equipment, and maintains inventory.
- Ensures safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Attends required training programs for professional development.
- Tastes products, reads menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of relevant experience in a culinary setting.
- Obtain state and city food service sanitation certificate within the first 90 days.
- Driver's License and Clean driving record preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (K/S/A):
- Positive attitude and effective communication skills.
- Ability to follow recipes independently.
- Basic mathematical skills for portioning and preparation.
- Problem-solving ability in practical situations.
