Description
- Plans food preparation by reviewing menus and food production sheets daily.
- Performs all related duties in the assembly/preparation of foods/beverages/patient trays according to nutritional requirements for regular, therapeutic, and other special diet orders.
- Assists with ordering to maintain food inventory; labels/dates food items for storage; considers leftover items/food expiration dates in preparation of menu items.
- Cleans cooking utensils and equipment; maintains the work area in a clean and orderly manner; performs dish room and general cleaning duties.
- Delivers patient trays/nourishments in a timely manner.
- Performs serving line and cashier duties for the dining room; balances/deposits cash.
- Other roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalency.
- Food Protection Manager Certificate.
- Prior related experience preferred.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills required to handle multiple priorities and meet production deadlines.
Physical Demands:
- Work is of medium demand.
- Stands/walks most of the shift.
- Routine lifting requirements up to 50 pounds.
- Sitting, bending and reaching required.
