In this role, you’ll play a vital part in preparing delicious and nutritious meals that meet the highest standards of taste and safety.
Position Details
Schedule: Full-Time & Part-Time
Key Responsibilities
As a Cook, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing all served food with attention to taste, presentation, and nutritional value.
- Planning food production to align with scheduled meal serving hours.
- Memorizing, recording, and understanding menu items, plate appearances, and portion sizes.
- Following standard recipes and adhering to special dietary orders.
- Operating standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with all sanitation and food production codes.
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances to uphold cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
We’re looking for candidates with:
- High school education or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of dining services experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or similar medical setting (preferred).
- Culinary school training (preferred).
- COVID-19 vaccination (required unless an approved exemption is provided).
