Do you think you have what it takes to help improve the lives of kids facing life’s greatest developmental and behavioral challenges?  Damar is currently seeking a talented, motivated and detail oriented Morning Cook to join our team! As a Morning Cook, you would prepare meals from scratch and cook items in batches, load food carts, and ensure the kitchen and equipment is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.  

Shifts:

• Monday-Friday 5:00am-3:30pm +2 weekends/month (Saturday & Sunday)
• Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm +2 weekends/month (Saturday & Sunday)

Remarkable way you will make a difference...

• Have a part in preparing and providing all meals for our clients and staff
• Review and accurately follow meal count information to ensure client safety
• Assist in maintaining the kitchen and equipment in a clean and sanitary manner
• Take pride and ownership in Damar’s facilities and assigned work areas, to better our clients' wellbeing

What you need to be considered...

• Be at least 18
• Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver's license strongly preferred.
• Successfully complete a pre-employment screening and physical.
• Favorably meet and maintain Damar’s background screening
• Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal offenses

Essential Job Functions:

Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 50lbs); to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; to travel to other locations using various modes of private and commercial transportation; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.

Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
