About the Job
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Food Service/Cook to join our client in Ashland. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
Short Term position (6-8 weeks) -Wednesday through Sunday 1pm-7pm
Responsibilities:
Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring a variety of options that cater to dietary needs.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Handle food items safely, utilizing proper food handling techniques at all times.
Operate kitchen equipment efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
Qualifications:
ServSafe Cert preferred, but not required
Strong understanding of food handling practices and safety regulations.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
Proven experience as a prep cook
Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
Organizational skills
