As the COO you will be responsible for working on special projects, business oversight, talent management, strategy & planning, and carry out the company's culture.
Responsibilities:
- 35% of your time will be working on special projects, this will include:
- Report on project status
- Prioritize projects
- Determine and secure project resources
- Set project budgets
- Drive projects over the finish line.
- 35% of your time will be Business Oversight, this includes:
- Manage to budget
- Responsible for P & L
- Determine and set priorities for team
- Ensure operations run efficiently and on time
- Manage KPI's (company, department individual)
- Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration
- Remove obstacles
- Resolve escalated issues (clients)
- Identify high-level issues
- Keep finger on pulse of operations
- Oversee IT
- Oversee general office activities
- Disseminate and cascade information to employees, clients and CPA's
- Lead cadence meetings (L10 meetings, Finance)
- Selectively escalate issues to the Visionary
- Ensure health flow of communication both up and down
- Ensure processes are being created, updated and adhered to
- Ensure best practices and efficient processes are in place
- Attend department L10 meetings occasionally
- Execute agreed upon tasks, projects and tickets
- 15% of your time will be allocated to Talent Management, this will include:
- Hold direct reports accountable
- Set expectations for direct reports
- Ensure employee engagement
- Conduct one-on-one meetings with direct reports
- Participate in key hires
- Approve budget for additional hires
- Assist HR and Hiring Manager with key hires
- Ensure development plans (training, succession etc.) are in place
- Conduct skip-level meetings
- Conduct 5-5-5 meetings
- Develop leadership and management skills for SLT
- Oversee curriculum
- 10% of your time will be spent on strategy and planning, this will include:
- Create and evolve KPI's and clearly communicate KPIs for transparency
- Determine what data is required
- Analyze data for better decision makin
- Lead same-page meetings with visionary
- Understand and prioritize visionary projects
- Ensure projects align with company goals
- Own EOS process and ensue use of EOS tools
- Lead quarterly and annual meetings
- Ensure the Rocks are delegated and completed
- Create/Update/Cascade V/TO
- Create V/TO execution plan
- Proactively create company's short term and long term plans and execute]
- Act as buffer/liaison for Visionary ideation
- 5% of you time will be spent on creating the compay's team
- Ensure Visionary's culture is carried out
- Stay on top of industry information and technology
- Develop and promote culture
- Assist in preparation of important meetings
