The Convention Services Coordinator performs a wide variety of administrative and secreterial tasks, as well as selling and servicing Convention events.
- Administrative support including: answering phones, taking catering inquiries, assisting Convention Services managers.
- Administrative coordinator and liason for the catering department.
- Sell and contract all events for (25) people or less. Service all sold events.
- Work with Banquets and Conference Concierge executing events.
- Organize and maintain the departmental filing system.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Exceptional customer service skills, superior interpersonal skills with an acute sense of detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
Minimum of two years convention services and or hotel operations experience.
- Five (5) years experience as an administrative assistant or office administrator with increasing responsibilities in a high volume environment. Hotel knowledge preferred.
- High school education or equivalent. College degree preferred.
