We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Permanent Controls Technician to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of an innovative and forward-thinking company, where you will be instrumental in driving the success of our automation systems. You will be responsible for designing and implementing control panel layouts for new production equipment, and maintaining and troubleshooting our existing systems.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Controls Technician, you will:
1. Design, implement, and maintain control systems for new and existing production equipment.
2. Work closely with the engineering team to develop and implement Allen Bradley PLC’s, VFD’s, and HMI.
3. Program PLCs and design control systems to optimize manufacturing processes.
4. Troubleshoot and maintain SCADA systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
5. Read and interpret schematics including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams.
6. Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement automation opportunities.
7. Ensure all systems and processes adhere to regulatory standards and company policies.
8. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and projects.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you should have:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
2. A minimum of 5 years of work experience with automation systems.
3. In-depth knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC’s, VFD’s, and HMI.
4. Proficiency in SCADA systems.
5. Experience in control panel design and layout for new production equipment.
6. Proficiency in PLC Programming and Controls Systems Design.
7. The ability to read and interpret schematics: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
10. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
