Job Title: Controls Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support the scale-up of our new building operations. As we transition to a 7-day-a-week schedule, we need to increase production efficiency. The Controls Engineer will be essential in monitoring and addressing product issues, ensuring operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
+ Install, configure, program, test, and repair programmable logic equipment and associated peripherals
+ Make changes to existing control logic and operator interface programs
+ Assist in the implementation of new control systems
+ Install and configure programming terminals
+ Maintain data structure of terminals used to monitor programs and operate machinery
+ Install, test, and repair electrical controls components
+ Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and apply knowledge of functional operation of machinery and electrical control units and systems
+ Assist maintenance in identifying defective components and wiring, and adjusting mechanical parts
+ Align, adjust, and calibrate control components
+ Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests
+ Perform programming and troubleshooting of controllers
+ Read schematics and OEM specifications to program, configure, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment
+ Perform additional duties as assigned
Essential Skills
+ PLC programming
+ Controls engineering
+ Experience with FactoryTalk
+ Expertise with complex systems such as RS View and RS Logic 5000
+ Experience with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation components
+ Ability to design and program the function of automated equipment
+ Proficient with MS Office
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 1 to 5 years of experience
+ Experience with robots, particularly Fanuc (training provided but ability to reteach a robot's pick and place position is preferred)
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $47.17
