CONTROLS TECHNICIAN

ATC is looking to hire a Controls Technician to create and support custom automation equipment.

A Controls Technician reads and understands electrical and pneumatic schematics, understands electrical wiring methods, panel build, troubleshoots and de-bugs complex electrical and pneumatic functions. This is a full-time position with the opportunity of professional growth across our corporate organization. This position is located at our HQ in Cookeville, TN reporting to the Business Unit Manager.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

· Reads and analyze electrical and pneumatic prints.

· Understands proper wiring methods.

· Performs panel build and all field wiring.

· Performs basic machine de-bug, such as I/O.

· Tests operations of assemblies.

· Can use voltmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic instruments.

· Has disposition authority on rejects and rework.

· Assists with troubleshooting of equipment.

· Travel and valid drivers license is required

· May: require basic programming skills

Qualifications:

High School and Vocational Technical School.

3+ years of work experience.

Physical Demands:

Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor.

Physically be underneath machines working overhead.

Exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.·

Exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently.

Exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

VISUAL ACUITY: Near acuity with or without accommodation.·

HEARING Ability: Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose.

Working Conditions:

High noise levels from operation machines.

Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.

Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.

Skin exposure to oil and fluids.
