Job Summary
We are seeking a Control System Engineer with at least 10 years of industry experience to develop, implement, and optimize advanced control systems that drive performance, improve reliability, and enhance safety across various vehicle platforms. This role requires EV controls calibration experience, along with a strong hands-on technical background. The ideal candidate is adept at cross-functional collaboration, thrives on problem-solving, and is passionate about delivering best-in-class solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Control System Design: Develop, model, and simulate control algorithms for automotive (including EV), marine, aerospace, or defense applications.
- Implementation & Testing: Implement control systems on embedded platforms; perform hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and calibration, with emphasis on EV controls calibration.
- System Integration: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing) to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
- Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve control system performance issues, ensuring robustness and reliability of EV powertrains and related subsystems.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies; refine processes to enhance control system development.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all control systems adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal quality guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in controls engineering, ideally within the automotive or related industries.
- Hands-on EV controls calibration experience is a must.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in control systems theory and engineering principles.
- Strong knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, PLCs, or embedded programming.
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation and real-time testing.
- Analytical Skills: Skilled in problem-solving, data analysis, and able to make data-driven decisions for complex systems.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively within a cross-functional environment, including design, manufacturing, and testing teams.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Adaptability: Eagerness to learn and apply new tools and methodologies in a fast-paced setting.
