Job Details
The Controls Engineer is responsible for monitoring and expediting the design and development of show and / or ride control systems and software systems for our manufacturing facility. The Controls Engineer will be working together with the production team to satisfy customer demand. This person will be in charge of programming and maintaining our automated machines. Epson robots programming and calibration will be part of his/her key tasks and new sensor implementation.
Research, select, or apply sensors, communication technologies, or control devices for motion control, position sensing, pressure sensing, or electronic communication.
Work closely with fellow engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures to resolve system issues.
Provide technical information and apply mechatronic or automated solutions to the transfer of materials, components, or finished goods.
Upgrade the design of existing devices by adding mechatronic elements.
Analyze existing development or manufacturing procedures and suggest improvements.
Provide consultation or training on topics such as mechatronics or automated control.
Oversee the work of contractors in accordance with project requirements.
Design, develop, or implement control circuits or algorithms for electromechanical or pneumatic devices or systems.
Design advanced electronic control systems for mechanical systems.
Monitor or calibrate automated systems, industrial control systems, or system components to maximize efficiency of production
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Mechatronic Engineering Preferred
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with the setup of PLC communication networks and have worked with Epson robots
Exposure to working in a highly regulated environment with working knowledge of ISO9001, 14001, and IATF 16949 requirements
Software used: Hydra, PLC, Allen-Bradley, Epson robot
