We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex control systems. You will be a key player in our mission to design and optimize automation systems that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. This role requires a strong understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and a proven track record in the engineering field.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement complex control systems to meet our project requirements.
2. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand and define system specifications.
3. Conduct system and component-level analysis to identify potential improvements and optimizations.
4. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, test plans, and project status reports.
5. Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions and operational issues.
7. Keep up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in control systems engineering and building automation.
8. Ensure all control systems adhere to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in control systems engineering, specifically with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
3. Strong understanding of control theory, system dynamics, and automation principles.
4. Proficient in using engineering software and tools for designing and simulating control systems.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Proven track record of successfully completed engineering projects.
9. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning and improvement.
10. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred but not required.
