Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 annually

Position Overview
The Controls Engineer will design, integrate, and implement control systems for client projects. The role involves preparing project submittals, managing materials, assisting with fabrication, and providing field support during installation and calibration. You will work independently on technical aspects of projects while serving as a project manager for smaller-scale initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers and the Director of Engineering to meet project goals.
- Develop and implement control systems based on specific project requirements.
- Program controllers, develop SCADA applications, and configure telemetry systems.
- Perform hardware testing and ensure system readiness for implementation.
- Document all project-related activities following company standards.
- Provide on-site support for installation, startup, and calibration.
- Manage tasks within budgets and timelines.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Attend project meetings and provide status updates.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- 5+ years in process control engineering, with expertise in water/wastewater systems preferred.
- Proficiency in PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, telemetry, and instrumentation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD software for electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of control system devices and construction/engineering contract formats (e.g., AIA documents).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and client interactions.
- Ability to manage projects independently while ensuring adherence to deadlines.
