We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Automation Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be an integral part of our manufacturing process, using their expertise in automation and process control to drive efficiency and productivity. This is a permanent position, providing an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to establish a long-term career in a fast-paced and exciting industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and optimize automated manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing needs and translate them into automated solutions.
3. Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation systems, ensuring minimal downtime and continuous operation.
4. Design and implement control systems to monitor the quality, safety, and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.
5. Develop and implement safety systems in accordance with ISA S84 standards.
6. Analyze data from automated systems to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
7. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing staff to ensure optimal use of automation systems.
8. Stay abreast of advancements in automation technology and propose the adoption of new technologies where beneficial.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in automation engineering within the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong understanding of chemical processes and process controls.
4. Proficiency in designing and implementing automation systems.
5. Knowledge of ISA S84 safety standards and their application in an industrial setting.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse groups.
9. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest automation technologies.
