Are you seeking new roles in the automation engineering field? Selectek is partnering with a company located near Minneapolis, Minnesota to fill a Controls Engineer/PLC Programmer role on a temp-to-direct basis. This firm primarily services the fenestration industry. They are seeking candidates to design automation systems and write code in PLC/HMI software suites.
Employment Type: Contract to Permanent
Expected Pay Range: $25-$40 per hour before conversion
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming systems
- Proficiency in Factory Talk View HMI software
- Strong knowledge or AutoCAD design
In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, per the clients request. Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.
Job Details:
- Design automation systems (electrical and pneumatic) and
- Program PLC/HMI system codes from blank page
- Perform testing and troubleshooting on systems and programming
- Travel to sites for commissioning and startup, expected to be 25% of the year
- Assess risk and implement safety devices where required
- Specify components and document control system design
Schedule: Monday-Friday, start between 7:00-8:00a. Some weeks expect to work 50 hours, but overtime rate is paid for any time past 40 hours.
