Job Details
Electrical Controls Engineer Responsibilities:
- Program machines as assigned by the priority list/project manager.
- Assist and develop new machinery and make recommendations on their mechanical design to enhance programming ease and electrical component utilization.
- Perform engineering priority tasks assigned by Engineering leader on-time and within budget.
- Start-up new R&D machines and develop programs so that future machines can be started without any programming expertise.
- Serve as a resource for start-up questions from shop personnel.
- Responsible for cost reductions on existing equipment.
- Ensure sold machines conform to product and technical specifications.
- Make recommendations to mechanical engineers about how to enhance machine performance.
- Ensure machines conform to company engineering standards.
- Review and approve job-specific manuals – touchscreens/operations.
Electrical Engineer - Controls Experience:
- Allen Bradley Software: Rslogix 5000, Studio 5000, Factory Talk View Studio.
- Allen Bradley Hardware: Kinetix 6000, Kinetix 5700, Control Logix, Guard Logix.
- 2-year associate's degree in an applicable field or 4-year Electrical Engineering Degree, or applicable work experience preferred.
