Responsibilities:
- Design and develop control systems and software for machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with control systems and software as they arise.
- Maintain and improve existing control systems and interfaces.
- Develop and execute testing procedures for control systems and software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, and design control systems.
- Participate in project planning and provide input on potential risks and issues.
- Document all product specifications and update existing documentation as necessary.
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure coordination in the execution of project objectives.
- Commission, service, test and debug control systems as required.
- Provide remote technical support to clients and sales team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with Allen Bradley PLC's.
- Proven experience in machine commissioning.
- Solid HMI experience, preferably with Allen Bradley systems.
- Strong understanding of control systems and their applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
