Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to join our team and lead the design, development and implementation of our control systems for our manufacturing operations. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing process improvement initiatives, while also troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining control systems.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement efficient control systems for our manufacturing operations.
- Perform engineering calculations and simulations to analyze system performance.
- Analyze and troubleshoot existing control systems.
- Develop and implement manufacturing controls strategies.
- Design and program HMIs and PLCs.
- Establish quality control standards and provide technical direction for control contractors.
- Develop capital projects to improve processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and drawings of control systems.
- Provide technical direction and support to other departments.
- Participate in process development and control system design.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years experience in control system design, development, and implementation.
- Expertise in industrial automation, motion control, and high speed encoder rejects.
- Proficiency in programming HMIs, PLCs, and systems such as Rockwell/Allen Bradley, RS Logix, NanoCAD, VisionPro, FactoryTalk, DraftSight, etc.
- Competency in hardwire design and PLC design.
- Familiarity with operator interface design.
- Experience in automated equipment start-up
