Controls Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

Do you have a passion for designing and troubleshooting control systems for industrial equipment?

Selectek is searching for a talented Controls Engineer to join a manufacturing leader in Indianapolis, IN. In this contract-to-direct opportunity, you'll play a vital role in keeping our client's automated equipment running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Design, modify, update, and troubleshoot control systems for industrial machinery.
• Program PLCs using Allen Bradley Control Logix, Mitsubishi Q, and Siemens S7.
• Develop panel layouts using AutoCAD.
• Create accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Configure servo drives and motors.
• Design and layout electrical circuits, adhering to NFPA 70 and NFPA 79 standards.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in programming Allen Bradley Control Logix, Mitsubishi Q, and Siemens S7 PLCs.
• Experience with AutoCAD for panel layout design.
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics and circuit design principles.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 79 (Electrical Standards for Industrial Machinery).

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or a related field).
• 1-3 years of experience in designing automated equipment or tooling.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Recent graduates with strong technical skills will also be considered.
